Brighton is willing to sell their star player to Arsenal for less than €60 million, as the player begs the club not to disappoint him like Caicedo

Chelsea’s Kaoru Mitoma is likely to be the top choice for Arsenal.

Recent reports say that Arsenal has made a lot of progress in its chase of the Japanese international, moving ahead of rivals Manchester United and Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta thinks that Mitoma could be the missing piece for Arsenal’s hopes, especially against City and Liverpool, based on how well he has played since getting into the Brighton starting eleven in 2022. Gabriel Martinelli had a great season in 2022–23, but this season he has only scored two Premier League goals before scoring a breakaway goal to end Arsenal’s rout of Crystal Palace.

Some former Brighton players, like Ben White and Leandro Trossard, who went to Arsenal, have gone on to play for Big Six teams. Mythoma could follow in their path. But there probably won’t be a deal in January because Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi doesn’t want to lose an important player in the middle of the season.

From their past, Brighton has shown that they will only sell their best players when the time and transfer fee are right for them. If Brighton wants to buy Mitoma, they may start talks in the summer and ask for at least £70 million. Arsenal, on the other hand, is eager to start talks for the 26-year-old striker.
