(Video) Furious Noni Madueke involved in heated bust up with his Chelsea Teammate Cole Palmer dragging who would play the penalty despite already being 4-0 ahead

Chelsea players engaged in a “lamentable” dispute over a penalty, while already leading Everton by a score of 4-0.

Chelsea dominated Everton on Monday night, with Cole Palmer taking control of the game.

The 21-year-old scored a hat-trick in the first half, taking just 16 minutes to do it, displaying another impressive performance.

Nicolas Jackson scored a fourth goal before half-time, and Chelsea were given the opportunity to score a fifth goal from a penalty kick after Palmer was fouled just after the 60-minute mark.

However, despite already being on track for a clear win, the situation took an unexpected turn.

Noni Madueke was positioned at the penalty spot, clutching the ball, when captain Conor Gallagher approached him and instructed him to pass the ball to Palmer.

Jackson assertively approached and insisted that Madueke take responsibility for taking the penalty, while Palmer forcefully intervened to prevent him from doing so.

The channel is called Sky Sports Premier League.
Jackson escorted Madueke off the field, and Palmer successfully converted the penalty kick, scoring his fourth goal of the evening.

Both individuals exhibited visible anger as they unwillingly approached to commemorate Palmer’s goal, however it should be noted that they both did extend their congratulations.

On X, a fan left a remark stating: “Jackson and Madueke, please mature and stop behaving in a sad manner.” Another spectator characterized the occurrence as “humiliating.”

The incident alluded to tensions inside the Chelsea dressing room, which is just one of the several challenges that Pochettino has had to address this season.

However, the previous performance of Palmer has not been a concern. The young English player has achieved a total of 24 goals and 13 assists in all competitions this season, after his transfer from Manchester City for a fee of £40 million last summer.

Palmer has now achieved a total of 20 goals in the Premier League this season, which puts him at the highest position in the scoring rankings, tied with his former City teammate Erling Haaland.

Palmer will face his previous team when Chelsea and City clash at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.
