Wayne Rooney is about to become the new manager of one of the biggest English clubs after being sacked by Birmingham City

Wayne Rooney is keen to return to football management and is considering taking over the reins of the Saudi Professional League, according to The Sun.
The former Manchester United player is considering a move to the Saudi club, following in the footsteps of former England team-mate Steven Gerrard, according to sources.
Sources close to the player say he is keen to return to management and would be happy to captain the Middle East side.
The Sun further reported that Rooney had been made aware of potential interest from a Saudi team who considered his appointment as a way to improve the league’s image.
Rooney is currently on holiday in Dubai after being released from Birmingham.
He was unable to assert himself at the English club, winning only two of 15 games and was sacked as manager after just three months.
His time at Birmingham may have been a setback for Rooney’s managerial career and a move to Saudi Arabia could give Rooney a new opportunity to showcase his own managerial skills.
