Man United’s big name striker signing has been named this evening. They are signing former Premier League star!

Manchester United could end the January transfer window without securing a new striker, although they are considering Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting from Bayern Munich among potential targets to strengthen their attacking lineup, according to insights obtained by 90min.

Erik ten Hag, United’s manager, is reportedly eager to enhance the team’s goal-scoring capabilities. However, the club’s main focus for the winter window remains on outgoing transfers, which could pose challenges, especially without Antony Martial’s departure.

Previously, United had considered Timo Werner in November but did not actively pursue him. Werner has since joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan from RB Leipzig, leaving United’s pursuit uncertain despite initial interest.

Sources close to the situation have indicated that Choupo-Moting is being considered by United, as his contract with Bayern Munich expires in the summer. While he presents a financially viable option, there have been no concrete developments regarding a potential deal yet.

Another striker on United’s radar is Serhou Guirassy, currently representing Guinea at the Africa Cup of Nations. However, Guirassy seems content to stay at Stuttgart until the end of the season, despite having a release clause.

Looking ahead, United has also internally discussed Jonathan David as a long-term prospect. David’s contract with Lille is set to expire in 2025, leading to speculation that Lille may be compelled to consider selling him this summer.
