In light of this, ten Hag has contemplated leveraging Diallo and Forson, aged 21 and 19 respectively, in a striking capacity. Diallo, primarily a winger, was even linked with a potential loan move to Sunderland. Despite limited Premier League appearances this season, he remains highly regarded, earning praise from former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Speaking after a recent game, ten Hag acknowledged the team’s desire for a striker but highlighted the constraints posed by Financial Fair Play regulations. He emphasized the need for creativity and mentioned Rashford as another option, but stressed the importance of finding solutions for the No. 9 position within the existing squad dynamics.
