Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko, two prominent players for Arsenal, got into a heated argument after their team’s 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest, and they had to be physically separated.
Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka netted the first goal and the second goal for the Gunners, which came between 65 and 72 minutes during the second half.
However, after Taiwo Awoniyi scored from close range on the 89th minute, there was late concern for Mikel Arteta’s team. In stoppage time, David Raya made a superb save from the Nigerian attacker.
Arsenal did succeed in holding on for a significant victory that moves them up to second position ahead of this week’s games against Manchester City and Liverpool.
However, following the match, there was a noteworthy incident in which Zinchenko and White squared off in a heated dispute.
A member of Arsenal’s coaching staff had to separate the two because things had gotten so heated.
Images from the event seem to show the players chatting before Arteta himself stepped in to have a private conversation with Zinchenko.
In his press conference following the game, Arteta then delivered his assessment on the incident.

“I have to encourage that and promote it in the right and respectful way,” Arteta said in a separate interview with TNT Sports following the game. “That’s pushing each other and being not happy conceding.”
“Sometimes after the game it’s emotional and heated, but I love that the players are pushing each other and demanding excellence.”
After losing their first four games across all competitions, Arsenal is now winning in the Premier League for the second time in a row.
Jesus’ goal will be a huge lift, though, as the attacker from Brazil hasn’t found the back of the net since beating Brighton 2-0 on December 17.
