Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola broke down in tears in press Conference as Two Star player broke thier angle in training this morning

Following the closure of the January transfer window, Manchester City will be omitting two players from their Premier League squad this month. The transfer activities during January were relatively subdued, typical of Pep Guardiola’s tenure. City acquired Claudio Echeverri from River Plate, who will be loaned back to the Argentine team for the remainder of 2024.

However, departures were more prominent this winter, with Zack Steffen finalizing a permanent move to the MLS side Colorado Rapids after struggling to secure a spot with City. Additionally, Kalvin Phillips departed on loan, unable to establish himself as a regular starter due to Rodri’s dominance in defensive midfield.

As a result of these departures, City’s Premier League squad will be reduced by two players compared to last year. MEN Sport calculates that City will now have 18 players registered for the second half of the season, seven fewer than the allowed 25-man cap. Notably, players eligible for the U21 team such as Josko Gvardiol, Oscar Bobb, and Rico Lewis are not included in this count. Thus, the anticipated City squad following the submission of their list will reflect these changes.
